24.020 Change or Correction of Address (VC §9865)

The Certificate of Ownership and/or the certificate of number are not required to change or correct an address. If a change of address or vessel location occurs, the owner must:

• Notify DMV within 15 days by submitting a completed Notice of Change of Address (DMV 14) form to DMV by mail or online.
• Line out the old address and enter the new address on the certificate of number. New certificates are not issued.
