{"id":180462,"date":"2023-02-08T19:30:27","date_gmt":"2023-02-09T03:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dmv.ca.gov\/portal\/?page_id=180462"},"modified":"2024-10-22T08:46:31","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T15:46:31","slug":"new-report-of-sale","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.dmv.ca.gov\/portal\/dmv-virtual-office\/new-report-of-sale\/","title":{"rendered":"New Trailer and Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Report of Sale"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-dmv-columns content-columns colums-1-3-2-3\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-dmv-column col\">\n<p>Licensed dealers can submit online applications for New Reports of Sale for trailers and OHVs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-default\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"\/portal\/dmv-virtual-office\/new-report-of-sale\/report-of-sale-application\/\">Start New Report of Sale<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-dmv-spacer-block spacer-box\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-dmv-column col\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-dmv-container shadow-box\">\n<section class=\"large-list-block\">\n\t<div class=\"large-list-block__inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"large-list-block__title\">\n\t\t\t\tBefore you begin:\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol class=\"large-list-block__list \">\n\t\t\t\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-dmv-large-list-content large-list-block__list-item\">\n<p>Have your <strong>Occupational License<\/strong> number ready for use.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-dmv-large-list-content large-list-block__list-item\">\n<p>Have the information available for each vehicle, which includes the vehicle identification number (VIN) and Electronic Report of Sale (EROS) number.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-dmv-large-list-content large-list-block__list-item\">\n<p>Be prepared to upload electronic copies of the New Report of Sale (REG 397) and any other required documents (front and back as necessary) grouped by VIN.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n\n\t\t\t<\/ol>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What happens next:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <a href=\"\/portal\/file\/transmittal-of-registration-applications-fo-247-pdf\/\">Transmittal of Registration Application (PDF)<\/a> (FO 247V) will be automatically generated for your electronic signature.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information related to the sale will be entered and validated with the EROS system.<br><span role=\"region\" class=\"format-label--note\"><span class=\"format-label__text\">Note<\/span> The information in the EROS system must be accurate.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment will be made online (bank payment or credit card) via link emailed to the dealer representative. Prior credits can be applied to the report on the <strong>Payment Credit Tab<\/strong>. Maximum 4 credits per online application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An email containing the status of each transaction will be sent when the application is completed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span role=\"region\" class=\"format-label--note\"><span class=\"format-label__text\">Note<\/span> Applications requesting issuance of exempt license plates cannot be processed at this time.
