A Salvage Certificate is not <\/strong>issued or required for a salvaged vessel. Process transfer applications as usual except<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n

\n<\/td>\n 		The Following Must Be Submitted\n<\/span>\n

  • An Application for Replacement of Transfer of Title REG 227 endorsed for transfer.<\/li>\n
  • A Statement of Facts (REG 256) explaining the title was previously surrendered to DMV.<\/li>\n
  • Two transfer fees in addition to any other fees due. A replacement title fee is not <\/strong>due.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n<\/td>\n <\/tr>\n
If\n<\/span>The title is lost or missing
\n<\/td>\n 		The Following Must Be Submitted\n<\/span>\n
    \n
  • A REG 227 endorsed for transfer.<\/li>\n
  • The replacement title fee and any other fees due.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n<\/td>\n <\/tr>\n
If\n<\/span>There is no <\/strong>record on file
\n<\/td>\n 		The Following Must Be Submitted\n<\/span>Documents required for an unavailable records vessel. Refer to Unavailable Records section in this chapter.

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The procedures below must be followed: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Issue a new CF number and stickers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Give the applicant a BOAT 3 booklet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Advise them to affix the CF number shown on the receipt must <\/strong>be affixed to the vessel as described in the BOAT 3.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Assign a HIN according to the procedures in this chapter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • For motorized vessels<\/strong>, issue one set of Vessel Carbon Monoxide Warning Stickers and companion brochure. Advise the applicant to affix the stickers as explained in the BOAT 3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
