FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 8, 2021
Sacramento – The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is alerting customers that the Goleta field office at 7127 Hollister Avenue will be closing for renovations beginning Friday, March 26, at 5 p.m. The office is scheduled to reopen Monday, June 21, at 8 a.m.
The improvements include painting the interior and exterior of the building, adding new office furniture and flooring, upgrading internet cabling and ensuring the facility meets requirements set by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Customers can visit the following area field offices during the renovations:
- Santa Barbara 535 Castillo Street 11 miles
- Ventura 4260 Market Street 43 miles
- Lompoc 1601 N “H” Street 46 miles
- Oxnard 4050 S Saviers Road 50 miles
While DMV offices remain open to serve the public, the DMV encourages all customers to use its online services, expanded virtual services and other service channels to complete transactions, including eligible driver’s license and vehicle registration renewals.
Nearly all Californians can now renew their driver’s license online – even if the renewal notice states an office visit is required.
Customers can use the Service Advisor on the DMV website to learn their options to complete DMV tasks.
